Brookhaven Academy alum Corey Dickerson and the Tampa Bay Rays finished with another losing season, but the All-Star outfielder still had a good year.
Dickerson started hot, batting .347 back in May. His offensive power earned him a spot on All-Star roster, but he wasn’t able to keep it going later in the season.
Still, he hit 27 homers and had a .282 average. He totaled 62 RBI and had an OBP of .325. It wasn’t the highest batting average of his career but he hit more homers this season than any other. He also set career highs in hits, runs and extra-base hits.
He ended the season with a 3-for-4 performance in Sunday’s win over Baltimore.
