Allstate Insurance is moving to a new downtown location.
Agency owner Keegan Bumpous took over the current office located on West Congress Street in August 2016.
“When I first got here, I immediately knew that an upgrade was needed,” said Bumpous. “I knew we wanted to be downtown if the possibility presented itself.”
Bumpous, originally from North Mississippi, made the move to Brookhaven last year.
“My wife and I were scared to death when we first moved here. We left everything we knew and brought our family here. We plan on being here for a long, long time,” said Bumpous. “I know the good Lord brought me here for a reason. I love this industry. It’s all about helping people and families.”
The new office will be located on the corner of West Cherokee and South Jackson streets. Bumpous hopes the new office will bring an enjoyable experience for their customers and staff.
“I wanted a better location and visibility but I truly wanted to get my staff a nice office that they could enjoy,” Bumpous said. “I want them to have a nice place to come to work every day. They deserve it.”
The new office will be more efficient. It will feature several new offices for representatives and a conference room for meetings and seminars, he said.
“The building set-up will provide more privacy for customers,” he said. “We love this town. The move to downtown started with the lights and that Brookhaven Home Seekers Paradise sign. Being downtown everyday will be great for us and our customers. The new hardwood floors, new paint and office set-up will be so much better for our customers and the people that work for us.”
The new location will open June 1.
