Debbie Durr of Brookhaven announces the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Megan Leigh Durr, to Adam Daniel Cook.

He is the son of Dave and Becky Cook of Florence.

The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Donnie Durr, and is granddaughter of the late Leroy and Peggy Cox, Eloise Durr and the late Louis Monroe Durr of Brookhaven.

Miss Durr is an occupational therapist at King’s Daughters Medical Center.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Robert and Betty James of Florence, Willie Mae Denton of Jackson and the late Sam Cook.

Mr. Cook is currently a teacher and football coach at Loyd Star Attendance Center but will be teaching at coaching at Lawrence County High School in the fall.

The couple will exchange vows Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Ole Towne Church.
