Ms. Hall, 90, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at her residence. She was born Nov. 24, 1926,  in St. Francis of Assisi parish in New Orleans, and died a member of St. Francis of Assisi parish in Brookhaven. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, but she was a resident of Metairie, Louisiana, for 50 years. She touched the lives of many with her ready smile and a gift for serving others. She worked for the archdiocese of New Orleans, having served as secretary to Bishops John Favalora and Robert W. Muench, as well as Archbishop Gregory Aymond. She often said those were the happiest years of her working life. She truly believed that her love of faith, family, music and dancing prolonged her life. For many years, she was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena parish in Metairie, Louisiana. She moved to Ruth to be near her family after Hurricane Katrina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Lee Nick and Irene Davis Nick; and former husband, Joseph E. Hall, who passed away in Ruth, in Sept. of 2007.

Survivors are her six children of whom she was very proud; Capt. Gregory E. Hall, USN (Ret) and wife Jane, of Pensacola, Florida, Kathryn A. Hall and her spouse, Sheri Kennington, of Wyoming, Ohio, Mary Beth H. Regouffre and husband Randy, of Ruth, Marian H. Mahe and husband Bill, of Tylertown, Holly H. Boyd and husband Terry, of Monterey, Louisiana; and Donna H. Kane and husband Steve, of Brandon; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She cherished the many years with her dear friend, Dr. Ed Puneky, of Belle Chaise, Louisiana.
