Funeral services for Ruthie Rebecca “Becky” Case Bowman, of Brookhaven, are Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Bowman-Case Cemetery.
Visitation will be today, March 22, 2017, from 5 to 9 p.m. and continuing Thursday, March 23, 2017, at noon.
Mrs. Bowman, 72, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at her residence. She was born June 10, 1944, to Carlos Case and Lydia Mae Anding Case.
She was known as a person who loved God, her family and her church. She was a devoted wife and mother. As a homemaker, she had many hobbies and enjoyed opening her heart, her home and her table to everyone. Her life was a testimony for Jesus. She was a faithful member of Brookhaven Church of God for over 50 years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, Ladies Auxiliary leader and youth leader.
“Aunt Beck,” as she was lovingly called by many, loved children and had a hand in raising many children throughout her lifetime.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Palma Jean Wilson; brother, Roger Case; beloved niece, Jenny Lynn Bowman; brother-in-law, Dennis L. Bowman, and infant brother, Phillip Case.
Survivors are her husband, Rayborn Bowman; son, Robert Earl Bowman and wife Bridget; daughters, Angela Bowman White and husband Mark, and Kimberly Bowman Walley; brothers, Glenn Case and Samuel Case; sister, Renee Bowman; seven grandchildren, Heather Bowman Williamson, Shanna Moore, Whitney White Reynolds, Zac White, Jordan Rushing, Allison Walley and Tate Walley; and four great-grandchildren.
