Funeral services for Helen Marie White, of Brookhaven, will be today, March 5, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Mallalieu United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be today, March 5, 2017, from noon until time of services at the church.
Mrs. White, 85, died Friday, March 3, 2017, at her residence. She was born Dec. 28, 1931, to Braxton Beauregard Rials and Letha Martin Rials Hall.
Mrs. White was a retired lab technician at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was a member of LLL, Woodmen Fraternal Life, and devoted member of Mallalieu United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Fair River High School where she was a member of the women’s basketball team.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Edward Arvin White; her parents; stepfather, Martis Hall; sisters, Willie Faye Rials Nash and Pauline Rials Hall; and brother, Thomas Rials.
Survivors are her sons, Larry Arvin White and wife Martha “Dusty” Williams White, and Roger Edward White and wife Debbie May White; daughter, Cindy White Callender and spouse Robert Callender; brother, Billy Hall; sisters, Jane Hall Herrington and Joyce Hall Johnson; nine grandchildren, Richard Shay Case, Krystal White Bell, Shanna White Wells, Christie Wade Stroncheck, Douglas Braxton White, Stacy White Hodges, Bonnie Madelyn Cain, Barry Matthew White, and Brandi Marie Callender; and 17 great-grandchildren.
