Severe weather is possible in Southwest Mississippi this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Severe storms will be possible as a cold front moves across the area. Damaging wind gusts of 60 mph and quarter-sized hail will be the main threats, but a tornado cannot be ruled out, NWS said.
