A Wesson man accused of stabbing another individual outside the Army National Guard building on Hwy. 84 over the weekend turned himself in to police Tuesday, authorities said.

Bond was set at $25,000 for Marshall Gordon, 50, of 1002 Bass Circle, who was charged with aggravated assault.

The 24-year-old male victim was stabbed in the neck shortly before midnight Saturday, according to Brookhaven Chief of Police Bobby Bell.

“From my understanding, there were a couple of altercations that took place before this, but they’re not saying what it was about,” Bell said Monday.

Bell said police received the call at 12:06 a.m. Sunday from King’s Daughter Medical Center on Hwy. 51 N concerning an individual who’d come into the hospital with stab wounds.

Witnesses told police the incident occurred at the National Guard Armory. Bell said representatives from the National Guard told him that they were unaware that an incident had occurred.
