David and Rita Gray, of Columbia, Tennessee, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jordan S. Gray, of Columbia, Tennessee, to Phillip Chase Magee.

He is the son of Phillip R. and Dauphine H. Magee, of Brookhaven.

She is the granddaughter of the late C. V. Grooms, the late Dorothy Grooms, the late Malcolm Gray Jr. and Lillian Gray, all of Columbia, Tennessee.

He is the grandson of the late Dr. Elton L. Harris and the late Mary Ann Harris, both of Olive Branch, and the late W. Ray Magee and Erma Lindsey Magee, both of Columbia, Mississippi.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Columbia High School. She attended Columbia State College in 2011 where she received an associate’s degree in respiratory therapy. She is currently employed as a respiratory therapist at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Brookhaven Academy.  He graduated from Copiah-Lincoln Community College in 2004. He received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Baptist College of Health Sciences in 2007. He is currently employed as a registered nurse at Parallon Workforce Management Solutions in Nashville, Tennessee.

The couple will exchange vows in a private ceremony on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at Checkwood Botanical Garden in Nashville. A reception is to follow at the Red House in Franklin, Tennessee.
