Olan Dollar Jr., age, died on Monday, April 4, 2016. He was born Sept. 16, 1943, in Archibald, Louisiana, to the late Olan and Ruth Dollar Sr.
Olan will be remembered as a dedicated worker. He and his father owned Dollar Lakes in Baskin, Louisiana, the first licensed catfish farm in the state. In addition to farming, driving was one of his passions. He drove for several companies, including Howard Brothers and Morgan & Lindsey. He retired as a driver for Walmart having covered 1.7 million miles with a spotless record. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Northwest Arkansas, where he continued to work. He worked for Callison-Lough Funeral Homes and for Sam’s Club, where he became a friendly fixture. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister, Carolyn Dollar.
Survivors are his wife, Regina; children, Carolyn Brown and husband, Jeff, of Rogers, Melissa Watts and husband, Jeff, of Jackson, Olan “Trace” Dollar III and wife, Kelly, of Rogers; sisters, Ann French and Lu Christopher; grandchildren, Derick and Tori Guillot and Landry and Laney Dollar; and great-grandchildren, Eli Guillot, Joy and Liv Guillot.
