WESSON – In key MACJC South Division game, the No. 1 ranked Co-Lin Wolfpack will host rival Southwest Mississippi at 7 p.m. tonight in Stone Stadium. The Wolfpack enter tonight’s “White Out” game 3-0 after defeating the Mississippi Delta Trojans 58-14 last week in Moorhead. Last week, Southwest (1-2) fell to Jones County 27-14 in a hard-fought contest in Summit.

A day after being ranked as the No. 1 team in the country by the NJCAA, Co-Lin came out flat after defeating previously No. 1 ranked East Mississippi as the Trojans jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. The Wolfpack responded with 58 unanswered points in three quarters.

Co-Lin’s offense racked up 514 yards of total offense. Freshman quarterback Garrett Kruczek completed 20 of 28 passes for 353 yards and three touchdowns. Leading the Wolfpack receivers was DeAndre Barnes of Mt. Olive who had his best game of the season with 5 catches for 100 yards.

Ladarius Galloway, a freshman running back from nearby Indianola, had six carries for 45 yards and two touchdowns in front of his hometown crowd.

On defense, freshman safety Colton Magee of Tylertown made the best of his opportunity wrapping up Trojan quarterback Nick Conley three times and tallying six tackles. The nation’s sack leader, Co-Lin defensive end Paul James III, added another sack pushing to his total on the season to six.

The Wolves will look to avenge last year’s disappointing 45-35 loss to the Bears in Summit. Despite losing their first division game last year, Co-Lin was able to rebound and claim their first South Division title in six years.

The game will be streamed live at www.colinathletics.com or listen on WMJU 104.3 FM in Brookhaven.
