Funeral Services for Henry Duncan Segrest were 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Union Church Cementer. Pallbearers will be Jeff Maher, Ben Maher, Tony Maher, Phillip Maher, Walter Beesley, Paul Beesley, Kenny McCraven and Robert Magee.
Rev. Paul Southerland officiated the services. Laird Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Visitation was Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 from 7 until 9 p.m. and continued Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at the funeral home.
Mr. Seqrest, 79, of, Natchez, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Promise Hospital. He was born July 31, 1936, at Union Church to Henry Seqrest and Mattye Smith Segrest.
He was a charter member of Trace City Baptist and later attended Pine Ridge Baptist Church. He was retired from International Paper Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a lifelong tinkerer and car enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Ruby Beesley Segrest of Natchez; one daughter, Jennifer Segrest Wilkins and husband, Kent of Carrollton, Texas; one grandson, Mason Wilkins of Carrollton, Texas; two sisters, Gwendolyn Segrest Swearenger and husband, Charles of Hurst, Texas, and Carolyn Smith and husband, Ed of Wesson; childhood and lifetime friend, Doyle Stroud and wife, Faye of Brookhaven, a number of nieces and nephews and extended family.
The family would like to thank Mr. Sergest caregivers at Community and Promise Hospitals.
