Byron and Renea Redd, of Bogue Chitto, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Maggie Beth Redd, of Bogue Chitto, to Curtis Grant Brister, of Jayess.

He is the son of Belinda Brister and Curt Brister, of Jayess.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. Wayne Sasser, of Blackshear, Georgia, Ms. Beth Sasser, of Bogue Chitto, and Mr. and Mrs. WM Redd Jr.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry King, of Monticello, the late Clayton Brister and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Magers, of McComb.

The bride-elect is a 2013 graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center and a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College where she received a degree in radiology. She is currently employed with St. Dominic Hospital.

The prospective groom is a 2013 graduate of Enterprise. He attended Copiah-Lincoln Community college where he studied theology. He is currently employed with Sylvarena Baptist Church.

The couple will exchange vows Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at Jolimar Summit. A reception will follow.
