A 22-year-old Summit man was arrested Sunday night by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office after turning himself in on sexual battery charges.
Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing said a call came in at 7:12 p.m. from a mother who reported her 17-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted by a relative who came over to their home.

When he was taken into custody initially, the arrest report listed rape, though further information led to a sexual battery charge. He is currently in jail with bail set at $50,000.
