Co-Lin women’s tennis boasts highest GPA in state

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – The 2015 Copiah-Lincoln women’s tennis team has been recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association as the No. 2 academic team of the year for their sport.
It’s the second consecutive year for Co-Lin to finish No. 2 in the nation. The Lady Wolves were also named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College academic team of the year for posting the highest GPA of all the women’s athletic teams in the state. The Lady Wolves also posted the highest GPA in the state in 2014.
The Lady Wolves, coached by Ashley Windom, finished the year with a 3.68 grade point average, which was higher than any other athletic team in the MACJC. Team members include Carlianne Alderman, Caroleah Brister and Madison Warren, all of Brookhaven; Allie Dear of Florence, Brandi McInnis of Wesson and Carly Riley of New Hebron.
Co-Lin also finished No. 2 nationally in 2013 and has finished as one of the top 12 national academic teams for 17 consecutive seasons.
