Funeral services for William H. Linton are Thursday, June 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive). Bro. Ryan Thurman and Bro. Dale Linton will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Linton, 80, of Brookhaven, died Sunday, June 21, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family in Brookhaven. He was born Dec. 14, 1934, in Brookhaven to John Harvey and Verna May Linton.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was a skilled cabinetmaker and avid fisherman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gene Linton.

Survivors are his wife of 61 years, June McDonald Linton; daughter, Catherine Linton Cutler of Danvers, Massachusetts; son, Johnny Linton and wife, Evelyn, of Rockville, Maryland; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
