Funeral services for Edwena K. Price are 2 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, at Meadville Baptist Church Sanctuary with burial in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Matt Alexander will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Dusty Price, Thomas Stewart, Keith Kent, Wade Kent, Allen Kent and Tommy Smallwood.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Meadville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and continue Monday, June 1, 2015, at 1 p.m. until the time of service in the sanctuary.

Mrs. Price, 86, of Meadville, died Friday, May 29, 2015, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Meadville.  She was born in Meadville on Dec. 10, 1928, to Hubert and Mollie Sullivan Kent.

Mrs. Price worked for many years in the United States Post Office. She was a member of the Meadville Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers. She loved cooking for and visiting with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herschell Price; son, Roger Dale Price; and brothers, Wayne and Barnett Kent.

Survivors are son, Phillip Price and wife, Mary, of Wesson; daughter, Jennifer Price Stewart and husband, Thomas, of Brookhaven; brothers, Wesley Kent and wife, Louise, and Kenneth Allen Kent and wife, Jackie; sister, Juanita Kent Wallace; sister-in-law, Martha Kent; grandchildren, Nikki Stewart Heffington and husband, Stan, Amanda Stewart Carlock and husband, Bradley, Katie Stewart, Dusty Price and wife, Anna Jayne and Marlee Price; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Morgan Heffington, Andrew and Adrian Carlock, Mollie Claire and Emma Catherine Price, and Price May; special friends, Eva Nell Milton, Thelma Ruth Woodyear and Gene and Mary Ward; and a host of family and friends.

The family wishes to extend a very special “thank you” to the staff of Franklin County Memorial Hospital, and Gene and Mary Ward.
