Lady Jackets sweep St. Andrews

MADISON – The Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets swept a pair of varsity games from the St. Andrews Lady Saints Monday night in softball action.
The Lady Jackets crushed the Lady Saints 17-2 in Game One and blanked St. Andrews 16-0 in the finale.
The Lady Jackets (8-11, 4-4) will be action Thursday as they host the opening round of the Class 2A state playoffs against the Puckett Lady Wolves, starting at 6 p.m. Enterprise will visit Puckett Friday for games two and three (if needed) starting at 6 p.m.
Enterprise 17, St. Andrews 2
The Lady Jackets quickly dominated the Lady Saints in Game One as they scored 16 runs in the first two innings of action to lead 16-2 and added another run in the top of the third inning to win on the 15-run mercy rule in three innings of action.
Haley Nation pitched the win for the Lady Jackets with eight strikeouts, one walk and two hit batters.
A. K. Becker suffered the lost on the mound for St. Andrews with two strikeouts and seven walks.
Carlee Nation powered the offensive onslaught for Enterprise with three singles. Kinsey Dahlin provided two singles. Hitting safely were Carly Polk, Jana Nations, Brooke Foster, Karlee Burgess and Kalyn Chemin.
Julia Conway, Julia Mitchell and Hannah Clay King paced the Lady Saints at the plate with a single each.
Enterprise 16, St. Andrews 0
In Game Two, Enterprise continued their hot hitting streak and clobbered the Lady Saints four innings of action.
The Lady Jackets scored two run in the first inning, four runs in the second inning, six runs in the third inning and four more run in the fourth inning to collect the win.
Carlee pitched the shut out win for Enterprise with 10 strikeouts and one walk.
A.K. Becker absorbed the loss for the Lady Saints with two strikeouts and five walks.
Jana Nations led the offensive attack for the Lady Jackets with three doubles. Carly Polk provided three singles. Caley Cangemi ripped a double. Hitting safely were Kinsey Dahlin, Haley Nations and Morgan Smith.
Olivia Becker provided the only hit for St. Andrews with a single.
