Funeral Services for Luther Edward Watts of Summit are 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Jones Family Funeral Services with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit. The Rev. Laurie Raborn will officiate. Jones Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday, March 13, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Jones Family Funeral Services and continues on Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service.
Mr. Watts, 77, died March 10, 2015, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. He was born on June 10, 1937, to Robert Earl Watts and Lucille Lofton Watts.
Mr. Watts attended Pisgah United Methodist Church. He was devoted to his family and many friends. Mr. Watts was also a very loyal Saints fan. He retired from Shell Oil Company in 1990 after 32 years of service.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Robert Watts; and sister, Joann Watts.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Lillian Hewitt Watts of Summit; two sons, Joseph Watts (Becky) of Summit and David Watts (Missy) of Carriere; a daughter, Beverly Cousin (J.C.) of Hattiesburg; four grandchildren, Joshua and Evan Cousin and Emilie and Christian Watts; a sister-in-law, Betty Leggett; and numerous other relatives and friends.
