The Lincoln County School District is currently looking at improving internet capabilities at all four school.

Kenneth Wallace, technology department director, recommended the board approve the bids received for the E-Rate Switch Project and E-Rate Wireless Infrastructure Project. The project would see the installment of wireless internet at all four county schools. The school district is seeking to apply for a grant that will pay for 80 percent of the project’s cost if the request is approved.

“This is a pretty good grant opportunity and we have a good chance of getting it,” Wallace said to the board.
