Franklin Co host Wesson tonight

MEADVILLE – The Franklin County Lady basketball team will put its undefeated 7-3A record on the line tonight against Wesson at 6:00 inside Bulldog Arena.
In the boys’ game, Wilkinson County won 66-61 despite trailing 28-19 at halftime.
The FC girls’ which stand 7-0 with three district games left, beat Wilkinson County 65-53 off a 10-0 run to begin the third quarter.
Franklin High, coached by Rickey O’Quinn Jr. led 24-23 at intermission before going on a game-changing run to open the second half.
Sierra Bethley led FCHS with 20 points, while Jamecia Starks added 18 points and nine rebounds.
Holding onto first place in the division, FC can clinch a share of the district title with wins in two of the next three games. The 7-3A tournament begins Feb 17 at Wilkinson County in downtown Woodville.
