W. Calvin Herring

Funeral Services for W. Calvin Herring of Byram are 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at First Baptist Church. CHANCELLOR FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, from 9 a.m. until time of services at First Baptist Church.

Mr. Herring died Monday Feb. 2, 2015, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Natchez to W.T. and Leathan Herring.

He earned his Master of Business Administration and his Bachelor of Science degrees at Mississippi College. Throughout his military and professional career, he worked around the world in a variety of positions culminating with stints in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Hawaii. He cheerfully donated his time on Sundays serving at First Baptist Church of Jackson. He is a former deacon of Parkway Baptist Church in Natchez.

Calvin was a loving and caring father and grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his loving wife Nannette Herring.

Survivors are his daughter, Loree Coleman, her husband, Danny, and their three children, Daniel, Caroline and John; son, C. Paige Herring, his wife Sandi and their two sons, Joshua and Erik; stepson Jeffrey Bolton, his wife Terry and their three children, Joshua, Matthew, Ann-Marie Bolton and her husband Vicente Castro; and step-son, Randy Bolton and his daughter, Haley

Mississippi Medical Center Oncology Unit and Cancer Care Center who provided excellent care and exhibited boundless compassion during his final days.
