BUDE – The Franklin County Bulldogs undefeated season came to an end in the first round of the Class 3A/2A/1A playoffs with a tough 1-0 loss to Clarkdale.

In the girls’ game, Clarkdale beat FCHS 2-1 to advance.

The FC Bulldogs (19-1-3) saw Clarkdale’s James Browning score the only goal in the contest to capture the win.

Franklin High’s defense played a solid game despite the lone goal, which ended FCHS’s postseason dreams.

The Clarkdale girls used two goals by standout Skylar Spears in the first half to roll to a upset of FC (19-4).
