The wake and funeral for Peyton Flowers, 18, has been set. The wake will be held in the Loyd Star Attendance Center gymnasium Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and the funeral will be held in the gymnasium Monday at 2 p.m.

The entire community of Lincoln County is still grieving over the loss of the young man who life, struggle and passing has touched the lives of many locally and nation wide. Flowers was a senior football player at Loyd Star who tragically and unexpectedly died Thursday after a six day battle at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

A bank account has been set up at Trustmark National Bank to help the family with any expenses associated with his passing. All Mississippi branches are accepting donations for “Benefit for Peyton.”
