DAILY LEADER / Photo Submitted / LADY HORNETS CROSS COUNTRY – Loyd Star Cross Country varsity runners Abby Thomas and Makenzie Smith made a strong showing on the time clock in Saturday’s Watson Ford Invitational at Clinton. The two girls blazed a trail on the racecourse at Choctaw Trails placing in the top 15 overall. Abby placed second overall with a finishing 5k time of 21:40 and Makenzie placed 14th overall with a finishing overall time of 23:10 overall.
