West Lincoln hammers Puckett

PUCKETT – The undefeated West Lincoln Lady Bears conducted an offensive hitting clinic Tuesday night as they hammered the Puckett Lady Wolves 14-2 in Region 7-2A softball action.
The Lady Bears (16-0, 4-0) resume action Thursday as they visit Sandhill to take on the Pisgah Lady Dragons in a big district test. Junior varsity action starts at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity contest at 6 p.m.

The Lady Bears quickly took care of business Tuesday night as they outhit the Lady Wolves 15-4 to secure a 14-2 victory in five innings of action.
MaKennah Redd was the winning pitcher on the mound for West Lincoln with no strikeouts and no walks.
Carly Evans took the loss for Puckett with no strikeouts and no walks.
Hanna Moak powered the Lady Bears offensive hitting clinic with a pair of home runs and a double. Alli Mullins continued the onslaught with a home run and a single. Makennah Redd and Malori Hall contributed a home run each. Brianna Fauver provided two doubles. Millane Lewis ripped a double and a single. Layton Sills had two singles. Hitting safely were Micah Redd and Peyton White.
Abigail Carter, Leah Beth Luckey, Molly Welch and Keely Ainsworth were the top hitters for the Lady Wolves with a single each.
In JV action, Puckett defeated West Lincoln 1-0.
McKenzie Pyles directed the Lady Bears’ offense with two singles. Skylar Hall, Demeshia Deer, Morgan Newman and Megan Gerald hit safely.
