Lauren Nicole Alford, of Terry, and Justin David Smith, of Wesson, would like to announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Alford of Terry.

The groom is the son of Ramona Smith and the late David Smith of Wesson.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Lasseter, of Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Albritton, of Raymond, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Alford.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Smith, of Brookhaven, and Harold Dean Higdon and the late Wanda Higdon, of Hazlehurst

The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Terry High School and is pursuing an education degree. She is employed with Precious Moments Day Care in Wesson.

The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Wesson Attendance, a 2006 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College and a 2008 graduate of the University of Mississippi. He is currently employed as a Farm Bureau Agent in Hazlehurst.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at McClain Lodge in Brandon.

All friends and family are invited to the ceremony and the reception that follows.
