Bank of Franklin claims DYB Majors

Bank of Franklin overpowered Bane’s Drugs in the Game Two to claim a 10-2 victory and win the tournament championship Thursday night in Lincoln County Dixie Youth Baseball Major League action at Keystone Park.
In Game One action, Bane’s Drugs came out hot and hammered Bank of Franklin 11-5 to end Bank of Franklin undefeated run in the tournament and forced a decisive game two contest.
After the championship, Bank of Franklin was presented with the championship trophy. Bane’s Drugs received the tournament runner-up trophy and was recognized as the regular season champions.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the 11-year-old and 12-year-old All-Star teams were announced. Both All-Star teams advance to play in the District Tournament. Brookhaven will host the 11-year-old division starting June 27 at Keystone Park. The 12-year-olds will also be play in Brookhaven at Keystone Park; that tournament is set to begin July 4.
