Lincoln County supervisors spent less than 30 minutes handling routine business Monday before entering into a closed-door executive session to discuss several issues.
Supervisors approved meal count sheets for the week, a dispatcher to go to Collins for a class in handling suicide calls, a slight raise for Judge Michael Taylor’s court administrator, and a restitution payment of $315 that was placed in the general fund by mistake.
Though supervisors discussed several issues with Board Attorney Greg Malta and Chancery Clerk Alisha McGehee present, no action was taken after the executive session.
Items on the agenda to be discussed were:
- Sagewood Lane update
- Litigation update with Arrow Disposal Services Inc., the county’s previous garbage collection service
- Potential litigation involving the county’s “Keep Lincoln County Beautiful 2025 Spring Cleanup”
- Potential litigation Timber Lane Road
- Real estate acquisition concerning the Lincoln County/Brookhaven Government Complex
The real estate acquisition discussion concerns possible solutions to filling the vacant area of the courthouse now occupied by Brookhaven city offices, Board President Keith Lewis explained. The city is on track to move into a new building by December.
