A Magnolia woman has died after receiving fatal injuries in a Monday crash.

At approximately 3:53 p.m. April 7, troopers from Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M responded to a wreck on Hwy. 51 in Pike County, according to Sgt. Craig James.

A 2002 Honda CR-V, driven by 42-year-old Angela Johnson of Magnolia, was traveling south on the highway. The Honda collided with a 2017 Ford Fiesta, driven by 46-year-old Amy Avent of McComb, traveling north on the highway.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
