Enterprise’s welding team recently scored second place in the Southwest Federation Future Farmers of America contest. Evan Johnson was the high-scoring individual. The team will compete next at the district level. Haygan Floyd had the highest individual score at the county level. Mollie Goldman is instructor.

Enterprise FFA will be presented with a check for $10,000 from Stellantis for their work providing foster children with beds. The presentation will be March 3 at 12 p.m. at Keith White Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Brookhaven, with refreshments provided.

“I honestly don’t know how to put into words how much this means to me and my kids,” said Goldman. “Our ministry, ‘No Kid Sleeps on the Floor,’ has been a labor of love for years. We’ve spent nights and weekends building and delivering beds. We’ve prayed for kids and families, I’ve cried many tears and lost sleep over kids I may never know this side of heaven. We’ve delivered to kids in our own school, which is hard. I’ve asked for donations more than I’d like and God — through His people — has always taken care of every need.”
