- A valid ID card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the State of Mississippi
- A valid United States passport
- A valid employee photo ID card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. government, State of Mississippi, or any other authority of the state
- A current and valid Mississippi license to carry a pistol or revolver, with a photo of the voter
- A valid tribal ID card
- A valid U.S. military photo ID card

A “valid” ID is an official government document that establishes the voter’s identity and has no expiration date, or has an issue date not more than 10 years prior to the date the document is presented. “Current and valid” means the official government document that establishes the voter’s identity is not expired at the date the document is presented.
If a registered voter does not have any of these acceptable forms of photo ID, a free Mississippi Voter ID Card will be provided at no cost to the voter at any Circuit Clerk’s Office.
