BROOKHAVEN — Drivers should be aware of dense fog tomorrow morning. According to the National Weather Service, there is a significant threat of widespread fog and low visibility starting tonight and into the morning commute.

Most of Lincoln County is forecast to be at significant risk with visibility at a quarter of a mile or near zero visibility likely from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Drivers should be prepared to slow down in areas with dense fog. This fog is expected to impact southern Mississippi and parts of northeastern Louisiana. If you encounter fog, slow down, use low beam lights and be sure to leave plenty of distance ahead of you to drive safely.
