BROOKHAVEN — Students at Brookhaven Elementary School strolled around the block with Deborah Costilow leading the way in an annual pink walk. October is breast cancer awareness month.

Costilow was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023 and had surgery to remove the cancer in May 2023.
