BROOKHAVEN — Ryan Holmes gave a brief report on engineering projects in Lincoln County Monday morning. The biggest news, Auburn Drive’s bridge replacement is almost complete.
Holmes told District 4 Supervisor Eli Ferguson that the dirt work should start this week. It could take a few weeks for the bridge to be completely finished.
Franklin Telephone also requested a permit from the board to bore underneath West Lincoln Drive. Supervisors voted unanimously to approve the permit.
By contrast, Conexon is finally getting permits approved for boring projects in District 3. Holmes advised the board in August the company began boring on 10 locations with seven of them already completed. He said it was something which would need to be fixed and pending field review some of the work may have to be redone.
One of the utility boring permits Conexon sought approval for on Monday is on Topisaw Drive by Enterprise Attendance Center. Supervisors approved the permit which clears up one of the 13 issues, Holmes said.
Supervisors discussed a few things regarding right of way in executive session. No action was taken.
