ZETUS — Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office were on scene of a possible 10-50 Thursday morning on Zetus Road. A blue Ford F-150 square body was found stuck in McCall Creek just north of the former low water bridge.

Officials investigated the vehicle and could not locate a body in the vehicle or in the creek’s crystal clear water. It appears the vehicle drove down from Zetus Road, onto a gravel bar, crossed the creek barely missing cut steel pylons and stopped on a gravel bar.

Litter and the remains of a campfire were in close proximity to the vehicle. The vehicle was located on private property. Due to the suspected commission of a crime and safety concerns officials decided to tow the truck out after attempts to get in touch with the private landowner.

A passerby happened to have a bulldozer and was able to recover the abandoned vehicle. The truck was pulled out of the creek.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.
