BROOKHAVEN — The first round of the Clubs at Ole Brook Championship teed off Friday morning. Back-to-back defending champion Zachary Smith will have a chance to secure a three-peat.
In total, 63 golfers are vying for the newly named Henry Swann Champions Cup. Henry Swann is a golf ambassador, a great man and a 17 time club champion. Readers may recall Swann as the man who has shot his age numerous times on the course, he has performed the feat over 400 times now.
Amongst the field is Loyd Star’s Brody Thibodeaux. The young man shot a 77 and 67 to claim the Junior Club Championship earlier in the week beating out Riley Case by 10 strokes.
