Funeral services for Ms. Betty Jean Martin Jackson will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery, McCall Creek, MS. Pastor Warren Schulingkamp will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Friday, June 28, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Ms. Jackson, 92, was born in McCall Creek, MS on February 13, 1932. After moving from Mississippi she made her home in New Orleans and Houston before finally moving to Cincinnati, OH; she passed from this life in Cincinnati on June 21, 2024. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and crocheting. She loved Elvis and the city of New Orleans; more than that she loved her family and her Lutheran Church – most of all, she loved Jesus. She was devoted to her vocation, serving as a nurse for many years and was licensed to practice in three states (Mississippi, Texas, and Tennessee).

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Idelle and Lewis Martin, and a brother, John Alton Martin.

Survivors include her children, Susan Velichko, Thomas Jackson III, and Toni Groselle; grandchildren, Tiffany, Samantha, Melissa, Paige, Thomas IV, Britanny, Michael and Geoffrey; along with six great-grandchildren.
