Absentee voting now open, registration deadline approaching for Primary Election

Absentee voting is now open for the 2024 Presidential Primary. Primary Election Day is Tuesday, March 12.
The Lincoln County Circuit Clerk’s Office is open 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday-Friday for absentee voting for registered voters who will be out of town on Primary Election Day, which is the week of Spring Break for some schools.
The office will also be open 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, March 2, and Saturday, March 9.
The final day for new voters to register is Monday, Feb. 12, at 5 p.m. to be able to vote in the Primary. The office will be open Saturday, Feb. 10, 8 a.m. until noon for voter registration.
On the Democrat ballot
President — Joseph R. “Joe” Biden Jr. (incumbent)
U.S. Senate — Ty Pinkins
On the Republican ballot
President — Nikki R. Haley and Donald J. Trump. [Note: Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy, though they have withdrawn, did not do so in time for their names to be removed from the ballot].
U.S. Senate — Roger F. Wicker (incumbent), Dan Eubanks, Ghannon Burton
U.S. Congress, District 3 — Michael Guest (incumbent)
The General Election will be Tuesday, Nov. 5. That ballot will also include Election Commissioners (Districts 1, 3, 5) and Lincoln County School District Board of Trustees (Districts 1, 2).
