Tammie Louise Brister, 63, of Brookhaven, passed away November 10, 2023, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

She was born August 20, 1960, in Raleigh N.C.

Tammie was a member of the Moose Lodge.

She enjoyed cooking and feeding people, an occasional glass of wine and spending time with children and grandchildren in her pool.

Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Bobbie Fox; sister, Kim Germata; grandparents, Nancy and Hilton Johnson; and uncles, Bill and Sam Johnson; and grandson, Riley Walters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Alana Mae Smith (Jamie) and Christopher Larue Smith; seven grandchildren, Savannah Smith (Josh), Michael Gavin O’Rorke, Colton Smith, Lane Smith (Courtney), Lilli Anna Smith, Maci Claire Smith, Jasper Oz Sykes; four great-grandchildren, Emma Kyzar, Declan Alexander Kyzar, Halle Ray Smith and Nova Mae Smith; along with Harry Kumar and Heather O’Rorke, who were like her own son and daughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to support breast cancer research.
