Local football player needs your vote for nation’s best freshman

LOYD STAR — Hornet freshman Jordyn Kees is competing nationally for significant honors.
The young man at Loyd Star has grown into a strong tailback this year. Kees has rushed for 1,404 yards on 198 carries and 21 touchdowns. He saw varsity action as an eighth grader.
Sports Illustrated and ScoreBook Live have Kees in their top 20 freshman players in the country and he is up for a national vote. He is the only player from Mississippi listed in the top 20.
