A 16-year-old reported missing in Brookhaven was located Wednesday and is safe, according to family members.

Kiera Blackman was reported missing Tuesday, Sept. 26, near her home. Brookhaven Police Chief Kenneth Collins said she left a note for her father. Collins said the FBI and other appropriate agencies were working with BPD to locate the teen.

She had been last seen that day around 2:30 a.m. She was described as a Black female, 5-feet 8-inches tall, approximately 140 pounds.
