Local establishments including deer processor pass inspections with flying colors

BROOKHAVEN — Six Lincoln County establishments passed Mississippi Department of Health restaurant inspections this week. Three are fast food locations, one is a gas station, one is a restaurant and the other is a meat market.
Krystals, located at 1206 Brookway Boulevard, earned an A for the 15th time. Since 2018, Krystals has earned 10 straight As with the streak disrupted by a B in 2018.
Little Caesars, located at 974 Brookway Boulevard, earned its 11th straight A since 2013. The health inspection will expire in September 2024.
Ward earned its fourth straight A since 2022. A Mississippi institution, Wards is located at 201 US51 North.
Just north of Ward’s, Kumar’s shell station at 806 US51 North earned an A this week. It is fully open again after a remodel.
Diamond J’s Meat Market and Deer Processing located at 1705 US84 earned its ninth straight A since 2013. Business will soon start to pick up for Diamond J with deer season right around the corner.
The Cookbook, located at 119 West Chickasaw Street, earned its seventh straight A since 2020.
