BROOKHAVEN — Police continue to investigate the theft of a vehicle from Walmart Distribution Center. The theft occurred sometime after 9 p.m. Saturday when unknown individuals entered the parking lot on Manufactures Boulevard in a gray Chrysler sedan and took a vehicle.
Brookhaven Police Detective Master Sgt. Jonathan Hart said the theft was still under investigation Wednesday.
“The stolen vehicle has not been located or seen up to this point,” Hart said.
The suspects reportedly acquired access to a white 2007 Chrysler Sebring owned by a distribution center employee and left the property with the vehicle. The tag on the Sebring is FNA7864.
Brookhaven Assistant Chief Clint Earls told The Daily Leader they were working with Walmart Distribution, federal, state and local agencies to attempt to locate the vehicle.
Lincoln County Civic Center had a similar problem in April when juveniles broke into the civic center and vandalized a bathroom and stole side-by-sides. Earls told The Daily Leader Monday there had been no reported burglaries in the area from the same time period.
Anyone with information relating to the case can call Brookhaven Police Department at 601-833-2424.
