Brookstock XXIII saw five bands and approximately 300 attendees rock the Brookhaven Building on Beltline Drive Saturday.
Presented by the Brookhaven Tourism Council and Brookhaven Music Studios, the 23rd installment of the music festival began at 6:30 and lasted well past 10 p.m. Performing were The Laughter of Ruin, 4-Way Stop, Mike J. Case, The Mickey Man Band, and The Bridge Band.
Kristie Bridge was crowned the Brookstock XXIII queen.
Tyler Bridge, frontman for The Bridge Band and the festival’s organizer, said the support was “Brookhaven at its best.”
“We appreciate the support of the Tourism Council and the volunteers that helped with the setup and tear down,” Bridge said. “And it would be nothing without the good folks coming out and enjoying. Many drove a long way and we hope it was worth the trip.”
Plans are already underway for the 2024 festival of “Maximum Rock N Roll,” he said, currently set for June 29.
“We’ve already got some things in place for next year and it’s gonna be awesome!”
