BROOKHAVEN — Challenger Sports Soccer Camp wrapped up Friday as kids arrived carrying flags they had made and handing items to the coaches to wear. It was dress your coach day as Craig MacDonald put on a Mossy Oak camouflage shirt, fleurs-de-lis Mardi Gras beads, Elton John shades, a spiderman mask and a sombrero.
MacDonald and his coaching partner Jonny Brown are originally from Scotland and have survived the Mississippi summer heat this week. Children played games on the final day incorporating everything they had learned this week.
Back home in Glasgow, Scotland, Brown and MacDonald work for the Partick Thistle Charitable Trust Fund helping coach others. They are traveling around the US this summer coaching kids.
