WEST LINCOLN — A 53-18 win over Pelahatchie sent West Lincoln to the MHSAA 2A girls basketball semi-finals last Friday. The Bears will face Lake in the quarterfinals.

Tipoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and will be played in Clinton.

West Lincoln is 26-1 this season while Lake is 21-9.

Area schools still alive

Brookhaven will play Laurel Friday at 4 p.m. at Pearl River Community College. The Panthers are 26-4.

In boys basketball, Bogue Chitto defeated Velma Jackson 83-75 and will play Kemper County at 9 p.m. in Clinton.

Done for the season

Jefferson Davis County suffered a 60-45 loss against Forest last Friday. Bogue Chitto fell 56-54 against Velma Jackson last Friday.
