BROOKHAVEN — NWS Jackson issued a flash flood warning for East Lincoln County and the majority of Lawerence County until 10 p.m. Wednesday night. Flooding could inudate low lying areas and urban environments. Be aware of potential river flooding.

If you have to drive anywhere and encounter a flooded road way remember to turn around and don’t drown. Flood waters could wash away the roadway underneath or sweep a vehicle off of the road.

Currently, there are no power outages reported in Lincoln, Lawerence, Copiah or Franklin Counties on Southwest or Entergy.
