Benny Lee Hammond, age 82, of Childersburg, Alabama passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Hammond; son, Chris Hammond (Robin); son, Dewayne Hodnett (Melinda); daughter, Toni Woods (William); daughter, Buffy Ezell (James); daughter, Angie Gilley; sister, Sandy Stewart; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Benny was preceded in death by his father Bill Hammond and his mother Nell Hyman.

Benny was a long time resident of Childersburg and was in the mobile home business for many years. He loved his family, living on the lake, and tinkering in his garage with his hobbies and cutting grass.

The family will hold a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Lay Lake Fire Department.
