The fourth annual Poker Ride Honoring the Fallen took place Saturday.
Hosted by Warriors of the Badge, the ride raised money to provide financial assistance to first responders who are critically injured in the line of duty, and to families of first responders who have been killed in the line of duty.
Musician Michael David McCall provided entertainment and lunch was served.
“I know we fed 120. We had a great turnout,” Warriors founder Vicki Moak said. “One of the riders from Flowood Police Department, Max White, received a check from us. He was hit by a car during a chase.”
White underwent 15 months of therapy before he was able to return to work about two months ago.
“It was awesome. I am truly blessed you packed the (Lincoln) Civic Center, took time out of your day, drove from out of town to support us,” Moak said to those who participated. “Thank you all. I appreciate each of you.”
